:: U-Rate Program - Time-of-Use Residential Electric Rate
RPU Image U-Rate is an energy management and rate program that offers eligible residential electric customers a lower off-peak electric rate for off-peak consumption. To benefit from this program, you must use at least  9,000 kWh annually or average 750 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month and be able to shift your usage to off-peak hours.
What Are The U-Rate Program Benefits?
By using electricity at off-peak hours, you can save up to 33 percent over the standard residential electric rates, which average electricity costs into uniform rates by kilowatt-hours. If you have electric appliances that you can operate early in the morning or later at night, your potential for savings is greater.

However, U-Rate is not for everyone. If you need help in making this determination, call (951) 826-5485.  Or, you can send an E-mail and we will be happy to answer your questions.

What Are The Rates?

U-Rate offers residential customers time-of-use electric rates. In other words, the cost of electricity is based upon when it is used as shown below.

U-Rate is based upon the sharing of cost savings with customers for shifting a large demand for electricity to off-peak periods when the utility's cost of purchasing power is less expensive.
