Inside Riverside Public Utilities’ School Education Program
Since 2001, Riverside Public Utilities’ School Education Program has provided a unique, hands-on experience for children in the elementary grades. The program serves more than 45 public elementary schools and 30 private schools in Riverside’s service area. The state mandated charges collected on your utility bill pay for the programs designed to align with next generation state curriculum standards, while promoting both energy and water conservation and the science behind it.

Landscape Training Workshop Series
Riverside Public Utilities is partnering with Riverside Corona Resources Conservation District and the Janet Goeske Center to offer a free series of training classes to help you achieve More Color with Less Water. Learn how to manage your soil, program your irrigation controller properly, troubleshoot your irrigation system, convert traditional irrigation to drip and how to remove and replace your lawn with low water use plants.
The educational series will be comprised of five classes each lasting for one and a half to two hours per class. The program is designed to give a comprehensive look at the major components of your landscaping. The classes are intended to complement each other but can be taken individually as well.
